Welcome to North Leeds MTB

This is the home of North Leeds MTB - we're a bunch of mountain bikers north of Leeds.  And west. And east. We even sometimes go south of Leeds.

Come and ride with us - we ride Tuesday and Thursday nights, starting at 7.30pm (unless otherwise advertised), usually at or near a pub; start locations are advertised in The Forum if not on the Rides page.

If there's no up-to-date ride information in either of those places, try BikeMagic - go into the Forums, Rides forum and look for "North Leeds"

We sometimes ride at the weekends too, but that tends to be a bit further afield, and often at short notice.

Spring is definitely upon us, so here are a couple of pictures to remind us what we can look forward to over the coming months.

Other stuff:

  • News & Events - And yet more new stuff to pore over - Leeds Metropolitan University are looking for (not quite so high) altitude guinea pigs, and in a completely unrelated freak of coincidence, Mountain Bike Kerala are inviting riders to join them in the Himalayas this May. Also, some more Alpine fun to be had courtesy of Undiscovered Alps and Pure Mountain Holidays. Revised 20th April 2009. If that doesn't get your juices flowing, did I mention one of our riders is going to Canada this summer? I'll try get a review out of him but I can't promise anything
  • Rides - come & ride with us - details published here when I can. Last updated 14th June 2009, covering this Tuesday's night ride.
  • Sorry if sometimes it's not more up to date than that but I can only update the website outside business hours. If you have, or know of, a ride planned & want to publicise it here, please let me know at least 2 days in advance. Mail me at contact@northleedsmtb.com
  • The Forum - come in & have a natter. Please, it's lonely in there!

All rides are ridden at a social pace, and evening rides tend to be between 12 & 20 miles, taking between 2 & 3 hours to complete. Daytime/weekend rides can be all-dayers.

We try to make sure nobody ever gets left behind, and we always have a drink afterwards.

Weekend rides are usually longer than that, as we don't need to worry about battery life...
